Larry Ruvo - Founder

Larry Ruvo is the Senior Managing Director of Southern Wine & Spirits of Nevada, a company he has been associated with since 1969. He is well known in the Las Vegas community for his ongoing support of many charitable organizations, many of which deal with education and children. Larry is a supporter of numerous philanthropic endeavors in Nevada as well as nationally and internationally. He has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for the Meadows School and has raised millions of dollars to fund scholarships for the University of Nevada William F. Harrah College of Hotel Administration. Larry is the recipient of many awards, to name a few, the Altruistic Award by the Meadows School, UNLV Presidentís Medal, the Governorís Philanthropist of the Year Award, Man of the Year awards from the University of Nevada Las Vegas, the Food & Beverage Directors Associations, the MDA and the 1999 Community Leadership Award from the Points of Light Foundation. On several occasions, he was honored by the United States Congress and was named as one of the Influential Businessmen of Southern Nevada in 2004 and included as one of the Vegas Dozen in 2005.

Larry Ruvo is the Founder of Keep Memory Alive, Board Member and Fundraising Chairman for Alzheimerís Research and the Las Vegas Alzheimerís Association, the Nevada Tourism Alliance and the Counsel for a Better Nevada. He is also a founding member of the Nevada Chapter Young Presidentsí Organization, former member of the World Presidentsí Organization, Bailli of the Chaine des Rotisseurs in Las Vegas and a member of the Bluecoats in Nevada. Larry serves as a Board Member of the Nevada Ballet Dance Theatre and a Board Member of the American Gaming Association (AGA). He is also a member of Legatus and has been knighted into the Order of Saint John Knights of Malta. Larry founded and created UNLVino, an annual wine tasting event held in Las Vegas. This annual event sponsored by Southern Wine & Spirits of Nevada donates all proceeds directly to scholarships for College of Hotel Administration students. He is also a trustee for the UNLV Foundation.

Larry Ruvo is married to Camille and has three daughters.
